The Power of Prayer - Interaction with God
A wonderful way to connect with God is through prayer. However, sometimes it feels as though our prayers go unanswered. Our prayers can also sound so repetitive, and then we feel lost on how to express ourselves effectively.
Here’s a technique on how to connect with God in a very simple manner, and one which is so fulfilling.
During the course of the day, let God know that you’d like to visit him in his Chambers when you go to sleep that night. You may like to mention an issue, or several, that you’d like to chat to him about.
Your intention is now set.
Trust that when you drift off to sleep that night, your soul will visit God in his Chambers. You don’t need to meditate or visualize – trying to imagine what you’re wearing, what the path to his Chambers looks like, what God looks like and then dozing off in the middle of your reverie. Just Trust.
During the course of your sleep, you’ll have the interaction with God, and when you awake in the morning you probably won’t remember the interaction at all. And that’s perfectly okay.
Over the next few days, you may feel that things are really quiet. Allow yourself to stay still and Trust.
Over time, you’ll start to see the dynamics of your interaction with God. You’ll either hear his quiet voice encouraging you to undertake a task, or he’ll send signs through people or in another manner. There’s no set way in which he communicates. It depends on the manner in which you prefer to interpret things. If you feel uncertain about the signs you’re receiving, then let God know that you’d like to visit him again and chat some more.
Trust in the process. Your soul and God having a chat on how to resolve certain issues in your life, or perhaps you’d just like to spend time with him so he can instil calmness into your life, or help you heal and strengthen you, or restore whatever you feel is missing. Spending time in his presence allows you come away with a feeling of profound love.
Be sure to thank God for the interaction that you’ve had with him, even though you can’t see or feel results yet.
