Feedback from my own experiences and what to expect from a reading

I’ve been a professional reader since 2009 (i.e. I ask for an energy exchange) but have had a strong intuitive ability since I was very young. I somehow sensed (known as claircognizance) when things were going to happen or who was going to pass away, and I would share insights with my mom. Around the age of 7, a huge angel appeared to me while I was on holiday on my granny’s farm and I thought it was completely normal. I had a best friend named Polly who was invisible to everyone else 😊

During high school years, the gift of smell (known as clairsalience) became prominent when I knew that my boyfriend, who was in the army at the time, was fetching me from school. I could smell that army uniform and knew he would be waiting outside. There were no cellphones in 1980 and 1981 but I knew via the clairalience gift he would be there. Over the years that followed this gift developed more and more, and when I was in a serious relationship I knew via clairsalience what my partner was up to i.e. showering, in a smoky area, eating, or if he was on his way to visit. I could smell all this. Again, it was perfectly normal for me.

It was only in 2009 when I studied the tarot I found my intuition to be really intense. The tarot cards are a catalyst for me while doing readings for others.

The cards present to me stories about You. Before a reading, I invoke the angels to help me interpret the reading and share any information with me that is for your highest good. I want the reading to be pure and without bias; I want to help you resolve any difficulties and move forward in life. This does not mean giving you an easy way out or solving your dilemma. I help you by lifting your spirits and to move forward with confidence.

The tarot cannot predict your future with 100% certainty. Your story shows me the possibilities and guidance afforded to you. Your guardian angel is speaking to my guardian angel, and I channel the message and share with you (clairaudience).

Each reading is based on current energies surrounding you. Without a doubt the tarot can help us foresee a likely outcome for you. If something is already set in motion from your side, this will show up in your reading. You need to remember that a reading is not cast in stone. You have the choice of free will and may change your mind at any time. I may tell you that you’re about to find new employment, and while you were considering a change during the time of your reading, but you change your mind for whatever reason afterwards, your outcome will be delayed. The same goes if you become complacent or lazy and don’t do anything about seeking alternative employment – again, you delay your own progress.

There is another myth that tarot cards carry curses or negative energies. While objects can hold sentimental value or emotional energy, the cards themselves are not inherently cursed or haunted. An ethical reader will practice proper care, cleansing rituals and spiritual intention-setting to keep their cards energetically clear and positive. A tarot deck does not invite or summon spirits or negative entities. In my line of work, I invoke angels, and I work with them all day and everyday and have complete faith in their support and love. There is no dark side that I work with, although it has been known that some readers do invoke these for vengeance. It is advisable NOT to go down this path as you’re reaping karma on to your own head.
I’ve heard that I share only good and positive readings. Actually this is not the case.

Not everything that comes up in a reading is good or positive, but there is a way to present the findings to a client. If I see someone is going to pass away, the last thing you want me to blurt out is that your loved one is on their way out. I will encourage you to make contact or visit the dear soul. If you tell me they’re really ill and terminal, I will confirm that what you’ve told me is showing. If I see that it will be several months before there’s a change of employment, I will share that with you. Along with this, will also come encouragement and how to pray effectively. If you tell me that you don’t pray or can’t pray and ask me to do this for you instead, you are only stymying yourself by not taking responsibility for yourself.

By the way, it is not actually up to anyone to determine when someone is going to die. Sometimes the soul is given a second chance and it would be wrong for me to determine if your partner is going to die soon because their doctor predicts they might or might not have cancer … and if you’re curious as to whether your partner is going to die when he/she goes running and want to know the timeline on this … is unfair and unethical.

Be discerning with your questions when asking for insight. A lot of questions evolve around timing. Timing in a tarot reading is not an exact science. Sometimes the timing comes up soooo clearly, other times it shows up as a season e.g. winter, spring, or around the time of an important event or birthday. Asking when your invoice is going to be paid by a supplier is not a fair question. I can see that funds are coming your way, but unless you take responsibility for your financial processes, this is not on the reader.

Fear of bad news is a very real thing, and I’ve had readings myself where the reader was so blunt that all I could think of for the next few weeks was the outcome of a negative situation. Again, there are ways and means of sharing something negative. If I see you’re going to be arrested for drunk driving, I’ll let you know this can be avoided. My advice would be that if you’re going to be attending a social event, allow yourself to be driven home, or take a taxi. Putting something fearful into someone’s mind sometimes diverts all rational thought from the brain and they walk right into something they’ve feared the most!

I put the channeling across to you in a way that is simplistic and easy to understand. Yes, on occasion I have been wrong in my interpretation and on many occasions I have received feedback that I’ve been correct. No reading is ever 100% accurate. My advice is that you take your reading at face value and don’t read so much into it by turning it around and around you confuse yourself …

At the beginning of each appointment, I ask you for your birth date, as well as those who may come up in your reading i.e. partner, kids, parents, close friends, etc. This helps me determine who is who in your reading so there is no time wasted around this issue. I also ask whether you have any specific questions. The reading commences with short interpretations according to the layout, and then your story unfolds. Many times, more insight comes up than the questions asked. If you have anything that you feel uncomfortable with and I pick it up in your reading, all you need to do is say, “I don’t want to go down that road.” The insight that is revealed in your reading is a reflection of what is at hand in your life. It is not my duty to push you in a certain direction because I think you should be doing such-and-such. My job is to remain unbiased at all times.

While I am not a doctor, on occasion I feel pain or discomfort on my body when doing a reading for you, and instantly know this isn’t my pain. I then share with you what’s coming up for you / a loved one, and will encourage you to seek medical advice. This is known as clairsentience.

A professional tarot reader charges for their time. It is an energy exchange. There is a misconception that a reader should share their gifts for free, however, a reader also pays rent, eats food, and has bills to pay. It is really no different from any other professional service provider who charges for their services.

My mind reading extends to a close partner (as mentioned above) only, however, on occasion when I’ve asked the angels to reveal something to me, they choose to do so when I’m asleep and they’ll wake me up with the answer to a question. Hence me asking you for questions at the beginning of your session. I really don’t have the time to read your mind and have no desire to do so.

On occasion I’ve had clients who’ve come across aggressively and asked me to tell them what they’re thinking! The face normally says it all – normally a reading paid for by someone else and they’re an unwilling recipient.

Dependency on readings: Lately I have a number of clients who are insistent on having readings done every few weeks. This is to appease their insecurities on whether or not they’re still on the same track. I discourage this type of dependency at all costs. I encourage you to start believing in your gut feelings, to grow your intuition and to develop a two-way relationship with God and the angels. Where necessary, any financial advice can be sought from a financial advisor, and any medical advice can be sought from a doctor. Be wary of the tarot readings that are readily available on the internet where you receive a free reading and then encourage you to pay US$ to receive more information. Most times these readings are fear-based and they’ll advise that you have been cursed at some point in your life. Then you’re encouraged to purchase an amulet or picture for more US$ and so they entrap you into a vicious circle. These readings are all computer-generated. They are not actually personal readings at all, but a money-making racket.

A final word: I send out the Finer Details when someone makes an appointment with me, but seemingly this is overlooked more often than not. I have decided to step up my boundaries even more as recently I’ve suffered burn out from unreasonable demands. I am taking off the month of April from all appointments. I had already decided this during the course of March and put out many notices to this effect.

Thank you to those who supported me in this decision. My mom also passed away recently and the last two weeks in March were really stressful. I’ll resume appointments in May again. I really need this time to rest and recover.

Proof of payment to be sent through at least 1 day prior to your appt, if paying by EFT or PayPal with regard to WhatsApp call/video, Teams or email appts.  Any appointments made, without proof of payment sent through timeously, will automatically be CANCELLED.

Sundays and Public Holidays – closed except if working at an event
Messages left on Sundays or public holidays will be responded to on the next business day.

Due to the many appointments being made and not honoured, and with the amount of scammers out there, it unfortunately has become necessary to implement the above.
